The End of the Writing Class
I blew my last assignment for the writing class. Not because I didn't do it, or it wasn't one of my better efforts. I think it was. I blew it because I didn't go to the class.
I hadn't realized it was the last class of the series. I missed it because of another obligation, but I could have changed that. Would have, if I'd realized it was my last chance to get feedback on my work.
Subtle ways I sabotage myself.
As usual, I have enough paid work that I don't really have time to keep up with these creative exercises I try to do, so it's easy to let things go. Get sleep instead of staying up blogging after a long day already spent staring at a computer screen.
I'm glad I did the class, though. I have a couple of pieces I'm really pleased with, including a good start on an interesting character. I would take the class again, even though it's torture making myself do the assignments. SO easy to procrastinate.
